Authorities say the Silverado first sideswiped a Toyota Sienna before colliding head-on with a Nissan Rogue traveling westbound. The violent impact resulted in a major emergency response as first responders rushed to the scene.

The collision also left two other motorists injured. A 50-year-old Georgetown woman was transported to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. A 33-year-old man from Seaford sustained serious injuries and was airlifted by Delaware State Police Aviation Trooper 2 to a regional trauma center for treatment.
